What is EMDR?
EMDR is an evidence-based intervention used to treat various types of trauma (including child and adult abuse, war, natural disasters, accidents, terrorism, and violence). Based on the principles of exposure therapy, it is a short-term, trauma-focused therapy that focuses on activating change by restoring memories and attachment (sometimes referred to as “working with the body”).
